Junior Wright aims to push closer to WBSS cruiserweight winner this Friday

For the talented 31-year-old Wright, a victory would spell another shot at a world championship. But when a fighter is coming into a Russian fighter’s hometown, that isn’t always easy. Still, Wright and his trainer Rick Wilson have spent eight weeks preparing for this fight, believing that Junior is coming back to US with the victory. “Fighters come from the US to fight in Russia they all come home with a bad story,” said Wright, “but we’re not. Jarrell Miller: I Guarantee I’d Knock Joshua Out in Seven or Eight!

Heavyweight contender Jarrell Miller believes he would crumble IBO, WBA, IBF world champion Anthony Joshua in seven or eight rounds. And he is also confident in his ability to blow out British heavyweight Dillian Whyte, who returns to the ring on August 19th as part of the Terence Crawford-Julius Indongo undercard in Nebraska. Claressa Shields completely dominates Nikki Adler to win her first world title belts

She has two Olympic gold medals in her trophy case, and now Claressa Shields has two world title belts to wear around her waist. Shields, in just her fourth career professional fight, utterly dominated super middleweight champion Nikki Adler from Germany, scoring a fifth-round technical knockout when referee Michael Griffin stopped it at 1:34 of the scheduled 10-round title fight.  Shields (4-0, 2 KOs) headlined the Showtime card Friday night at the MGM Grand in Detroit, just down the road from her hometown of Flint, Mich.
